Michael Hanley

A committed advocate of digital transformation & technology-enabled learning as a path to unlocking peoples’ abilities. I’m an expert in managing workplace education and professional development; I focus on finding innovative ways to develop and operationalise effective approaches to work-based learning, specifically planning, designing, and managing learning & development programmes for organisations.

Highly motivated and professional, I combine excellent technical skills with strong leadership capabilities; I am outcomes-driven with a proven record in effecting positive change in organisations.

I have an MSc (Hons) in Education & Technology, and am a member of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD).

In the last decade-and-a-half, I have worked for start-ups, PLCs and large enterprises. I’m an associate lecturer Maynooth University and a visiting scholar at Tokyo Institute of Technology and enjoy conference speaking on education topics. I’ve consulted for organisations including the ECDL Foundation, University College, Cork, and the Centre for Research and Innovation in Learning Technology in the National College of Ireland. I also present on the Elearning Guild Online Forum and have written on education-related topics for a number of publications.
